Fall Short

You are going to fall short today.

As a spouse

As a coworker

As a parent

As a friend

As a son/daughter

As a volunteer

Whatever role you are stepping into today, as some point in at least one of them, you are going to fall short.

The Good News is, that's ok. That is expected, and if you believe that God has enough to cover and fill in any gaps, you will be enough. You will be made in right standing, even when you fall short, because all of your gaps are filled in, if you believe God has, can, and will.

He isn't disappointed in you, He is waiting to partner with you, if you will give Him room. The gaps will be there regardless, you can either let Him fill them in and partner with peace, or try to scramble with guilt and shame to fill them in yourself.

Take the pressure off, no one who matters has ever asked you to be perfect, just to do your best. Your best is going to change every day and in ever circumstance, but God has more than enough to cover what needs to be covered.

Do you trust Him more than you trust yourself?

Do you believe Him?

Then why are you running yourself ragged with worry that a shoe will drop at any moment when God promises to catch whatever starts to slip?

The word righteous means to be in right standing. God will not slip, and He won't let you slip, either, if you believe Him.

Romans 3:21-24 TPT

21–22 But now, independently of the law, the righteousness of God is tangible and brought to light through Jesus, the Anointed One. This is the righteousness that the Scriptures prophesied would come. It is God’s righteousness made visible through the faithfulness of Jesus Christ. And now all who believe in him receive that gift. For there is really no difference between us, 23 for we all have sinned and are in need of the glory of God. 24 Yet through his powerful declaration of acquittal, God freely gives away his righteousness. His gift of love and favor now cascades over us, all because Jesus, the Anointed One, has liberated us from the guilt, punishment, and power of sin!
