Identifying the source of our fear

It does not come from God. ( 2 Timothy 1:7) Does it come from our past experience, the lies of the enemy, or the hurtful words of others? The bible says God does not give us fear. He does not use fear to motivate us (1 John 4:18), the fear we have for the Lord is a respect for who He is. What God gives us is love, and as we start to better grasp and understand that, we can better turn off the noise of the fear that has been controlling us too long.
